Kenneth holds a Master of Engineering from Imperial College London and ETH Zurich, a Master of Research from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science from WorldQuant University. In 2028, he will be graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Mechanics from the University of Cambridge. He is awarded the Associateship of the City and Guilds Institute, and is working towards an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

2024
  • January: Joined the Cambridge Judge Business School for a Project Management course.
  • March: Completed the MRes group project with National Highways on TBM support pressure requirements for A303 Stonehenge. Awarded a Distinction!
  • April: Backpacked through Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Oslo (Norway).
  • September: Awarded a Distinction in my MRes Thesis - officially a PhD student!
  • October: Completed a PhD course in Soil Modelling at NTNU, Trondheim.
2023
  • July: My year-long exchange at ETH Zürich came to an end.
  • August: Backpacked across 9 countries in Eastern-Central Europe, 6 of which were new to me!
  • September: Went home to Malaysia for the first time in 2 years.
  • Early-October: Started my MRes at Cambridge and MSc at WorldQuant. Received my visa in a record-breaking 20 hours!
  • Late-October: Graduated from Imperial College London with 7 Prizes/Distinctions.
  • November: Passed my first-ever course in Finance at WorldQuant.

Travel Journal

School is one thing. Education is another. The two don't always overlap. Whether I am in school or not, I am always in pursuit of an education, and travelling is one of the most meaningful ways to do so.
